Presented by the Visual Art League of Lewisville, this free acrylic painting workshop will be led by artist Steven Rodriguez.

Participants will learn to capture the unique colors of the Southwest using acrylics. They will complete a painting of a buffalo. Emphasis on blending warm earthy tones, unique hues, and vibrant accents inspired by the Southwest style. The experience will foster creativity, cultural appreciation, and a sense of connection to the rich artistic traditions of the region. 

Participants will transfer a supplied line art drawing of a buffalo onto a board to paint as they wish using the colors and blends they will be taught by Mr. Rodriguez to complete a painting to take home. Some materials will be supplied, but participants are asked to bring acrylic paints in basic colors (red, blue, green, yellow) and brushes.
