"That's Not Watercolor" workshop with Randy Meador (SOLD OUT)

  • Date: -
  • Location: Lewisville Grand Theater
    100 N. Charles
    Lewisville, Texas 75057
  • Introduction: Presented by Visual Art League of Lewisville

Randy Meador brings his high-energy, unorthodox workshop “That’s Not Watercolor” to the Visual Art League of Lewisville on March 12-14 for a few days of fun and will forever change how you view watercolor and maybe art altogether. His wild workshops are always full.

Randy says, “This workshop can at times resemble a stage show or stand-up routine, and it’s a lot of fun. You will not be bored, but I’m serious about watercolor, and I’m VERY serious about breaking folks free to paint like their hair’s on fire.”

And this workshop is designed to do just that… forever break bad habits and free artists from lifeless, dull, or timid watercolors. He also reveals secrets most professionals don’t know… secrets hard-won in the valleys and peaks of life. He coaches with a special blend of humor and virtue…and on occasion, a little “crazy.”

Randy strongly urges oil and acrylic artists to attend. He says, “When you can create vibrant watercolor, you then have the ability to make quick, accurate, and confident decisions. When you paint decisively, you can do anything… and in any medium… including three dimensional.”

Who comes to That’s Not Watercolor?

“Evidently everyone,” says Randy. “At almost every event, I have an attendee who has no art experience at all. They come because they heard it was fun and wanted to try it, often with friends. On the other hand, I’ve been shocked at, and humbled by, the number of full-time artists who attend. And often it’s the first-timers that understand my techniques before full-timers.”

The cost to attend the three-day workshop is $375 for VAL members and $400 for non-members. The non-member fee includes a one-year VAL membership. Visit visualartleague.org to register.
